Traditionally, Bangladesh has been and still largely continues to be, an agrarian economy with agriculture employing the largest of the national workforce. Fisheries and livestock, in many ways, complement agriculture. These together can provide food security, employment and in the process, reduce poverty. Our focus is to enhance resource utilization for expanding and extending production through matching of invaluable indigenous knowledge and appropriate technology in an environmentally sustainable manner and marketing the produce for economic activity in rural areas
