The objectives of the project are to (i) Improve the volume of pension payments and the pressure that this puts on the DAO staff;(ii) Using computers to enhance record keeping in the DAO ;(iii) Speeding up the pension payments process; (iv) Speeding up the initial payment calculation/sanctioning.

A Pension Management System has been developed for implementation at the District Accounts Office. It is developed using Visual FoxPro and capable of handling multiple users at the same time something that speeds up the payment system and allows integration of the pension records more easily than the multiple Manuel files used at present.
