  Scope of the Project :

Cairn Energy Sangu Field Ltd. (CESFL) plans to carry out drilling operation in Hatia-Manpura prospects towards the 4 th quarter of the year 2005. In view of complying with the Department of Environment (DOE) requirements, the company will carry out an EIA study for both prospects to enable obtaining Environmental Clearance Certificate. The objective of the study is to identify, evaluate potential impacts of significance due to the project (including environmental impacts due to the project location) as well as to recommend measures to prevent, minimize, mitigate, manage, monitor, and correct potential environmental impacts resulting from project activities, to make the project environmentally compatible.

  Services Provided :
  • Provide environmental review and guidance relating to the operation and description of exploratory drilling activities;
  • Delineate the significant environmental issues found;
  • Evaluate all significant, adverse environmental and socio-economic impacts and hazards associated with the project;
  • Identify and planning of measures to mitigate or prevent potential adverse impacts;
  • Propose the most appropriate arrangements for the implementation of these measures.
